Consolidated Water Co. Ltd. has a diverse customer base, which is comprised of government owned utilities, private bulk water customers and retail customers. We also provide Engineering and Management services to our subsidiary and affiliate companies.

Government Owned Utilities


  • Water Authority CaymanWater Authority-Cayman
    CWCO has a total of four separate Design Build Finance Operate and Transfer type water sale agreements currently in operation with Water Authority-Cayman, with a total production capacity of approximately 6.3 million US gallons per day, providing 100% of their potable water supply.

  • Water & Sewage Corporation of the BahamasWater & Sewerage Corporation of the Bahamas
    CWCO has two separate Design Build Own and Operate type water sale agreements currently in operation with the Water & Sewerage Corporation of the Bahamas, on New Providence, with a total production capacity of approximately 9.6 million US gallons per day, providing approximately 60% of their potable water supply.

  • Water & Sewerage Department of the British Virgin IslandsWater & Sewerage Department of the British Virgin Islands
    CWCO's affiliate, Ocean Conversion (BVI) Ltd., currently operates a seawater reverse osmosis plant on Tortola, selling potable water to the Water & Sewerage Department of the British Virgin Islands, with production capacity of approximately 720 thousand US gallons per day.

    CWCO's affiliate, Consolidated Water (Bermuda) Ltd., has a single seawater reverse osmosis plant on Ambergris Cay, Belize, operated under an Own, Operate type water sale agreement, with a total capacity of 470,000 US gallons per day, representing 100% of the potable water supply on the island.

  • Government of BermudaGovernment of Bermuda – Ministry of Works and Engineering
    CWCO is operating a single seawater reverse osmosis desalination facility under a Design, Build, Operate agreement with the Ministry of Works and Engineering - Government of Bermuda. The plant has a total capacity of 1.2 million US gallons per day.

 

Private Bulk Water Customers


  • Sandy LaneSandy Lane Resort – Barbados
    Under a Design, Build, Operate type agreement, CWCO constructed and operated a seawater reverse osmosis plant for the five star resort of Sandy Lane on the island of Barbados, famed for having hosted, golfing great, Tiger Wood’s wedding. After the agreed initial five year operation and a further one year operation extension, the customer now operates the facility, which was built underneath the tennis courts to preserve the aesthetics of the development. The plant capacity is 1.32 million US gallons per day.

  • Bimini Sands - South Bimini International, Bimini, Bahamas
    Under a Design, Build, Operate type agreement, CWCO constructed and operates a seawater reverse osmosis plant for Bimini Sands. The plant has a total capacity of 115,000 US gallons per day.

Engineering and Management Services


  • CWCO provides Engineering and Management services to our affiliate companies like Ocean Conversion (BVI) Ltd. in the British Virgin Islands.
  • CWCO provides Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction and management services. For example we successfully reduced the NRW of the Water and Sewerage Corporation of the Bahamas by 1.0 million imperial gallons per day, which represented a 20% reduction in their NRW.
  • Our Engineering and Management expertise is leveraged across our operations ensuring, a high quality service to our customers.
  • Our Engineering and Management completes all design, construction management and commissioning for all of our plants.
